On Saturday, July 5th more than forty
residents participated in our Independence Day Parade.
Several families went “all-out” in decorating their
bikes in festive holiday colors, flags, and streamers.
The group was lead by an antique 1930 Model A Ford
driven by Lynn Josephson. The parade commenced at the
community center and traveled around Old Banyan Way.
Afterward, participants enjoyed an ice cream social in
the clubhouse Social Room.
Some of the participants were:
Lynn Josephson & Chanel (soon-to-be daughter-in-law)
Brad, Lhara, David (4-1/2) & Anna Karina (2-1/2) Hintz
Karen, David, J.T. (10) & Isaac (8) Wilkenson
Laura, Julian (5) & Elliot (3) Needle
Karen, Sul (9) & Zac (6) Maccartney
Nina, Toni (8), Belle (6) & Ally (4) Birtolo
Shelley, Tony, Joshua (6-3/4) & Bradley (5-3/4) Jennings
Debbie & John (6) Jacoby
If your name was overlooked, please let us know so we
can update this list.
Special thanks to:
Lynn & Kathy Josephson for donating the use of their
nostalgic Model A.
Brad Hintz for creating the announcement flier and
organizing the parade.
We are trying to organize more activities for children,
youth, and teens in our community and WE NEED YOUR HELP.
Please let us know if you are interested in being
notified of future activities -OR- if you would like to
volunteer to promote future activities.
As a reminder, we are creating a mailing list of
families with children so we can inform you of upcoming
events. Our association budget does not currently allow
for mailings to be made to all the residents of our
large community and hand delivery is a difficult and
ineffective process as fliers tend to get lost due to
wind and rain.
If you want to be included in the targeted mailings for
announcements and invitations, please let us know WHO
and WHERE you are. You may send in one of the orange
fliers (located in the exercise room or mail/email the
following info:
1) Parent’s Names
2) Children’s Names
3) Mailing Address/Email
4) Phone Number
5) Fun ideas or other suggestions
6) Would you like to volunteer? In what ways can you
help?
7) Would you like to donate anything to support these
activities? (food, prizes, decorations, gift
certificates, etc.)
Please send all emails to:
Brad & Lhara Hintz
lhariza@yahoo.com
Thank you for your support. |
