Special thanks to Ben Needle, Jared Kelley, and Viktor Tuparov for hosting a
lemonade stand in front of the clubhouse to raise funds for the preserve.

A sincere ‘Thank you’ to all who contributed warm clothing to the drive for youths in Collier County from low income areas. And another sincere ‘Thank you’ to Sandy Johnson for the hours she put in organizing the drive. We are fortunate to have so many caring persons in our community.

Judy Congrove has resigned as president of the Autumn Woods Community Association but will remain as a member of the board. Judy was elected president in January, 2008 and was re-elected in January, 2009. At the beginning of her first term the community was in a state of disarray and divisiveness was rampant. In addition, the community was saddled with a deficit in excess of $100,000.00. Through her efforts, this deficit was eliminated in one year and the community is now current with all expense and will finish this year with a small surplus. Under her guidance, civility was restored and the board again began working for the betterment of the community. We have seen improvements to our buildings and to the common grounds and next year funds have been set aside to improve the pool and the surrounding area. Please join the board in extending a sincere ‘thank you’ to Judy for her efforts in making Autumn Woods a better place to live.

We had a major break in the irrigation line at Autumn Woods Blvd. and Timberline. As a result, sand got into the irrigation lines and interrupted service on several occasions. If you notice a decrease in pressure, it may be necessary to clean out the filters at the irrigation heads on your property.

Thanks to Laura and Eric Roberts for volunteering their time to help with the plantings at the entrance gates, along Red Oak and in front of the guardhouse.

It is required that all dogs must be on leashes at all times. We have had several complaints from homeowners of aggressive behavior by dogs. Although most dogs are friendly, we could have a serious situation if a frightened child ran into the street. Please cooperate. This includes having your dog leashed in the preserve areas.

Security cameras have been installed and are fully operational at the main gates, the Orange Blossom gates, the clubhouse and the pool areas.

Volunteers are needed for a “Beautification Committee.” Members would do planning for the common areas on our community. This would include choosing plants, where to plant them, how to improve the soil, etc. It would not include the physical work unless desired.

When leaving the pool area, please close the umbrellas if you are using a table. Strong winds can tip them causing damage to the tables. Thanks for your cooperation.

Please check out the new ‘Suppliers Comments’ page on the website. It includes information regarding services to homeowners and comments from the homeowners regarding levels of satisfaction. Please submit your comments so we can grow this page into a useful tool for all of us.

When leaving the workout room, please make sure the lights, fans, and TVs are turned off. Thank you for helping us keep our electric costs down.
